    Why did my Kickstarter fail?

    by nalem » Thu Dec 19, 2013 4:37 pm

    Hello everyone.

So, while I may have 20 hours left, I highly doubt I will fund in 20 hours.

I did a lot to promote this Kickstarter. I promoted on reddit with ads, posts, Facebook ads, twitter ads, I ran ads on ad roll, project wonderful, and other places, as well as Linkedin. I promoted to all of the communities my fans hang at, on my webcomic, as well as the sites recommended here http://www.crowdcrux.com/20-bloggers-an ... mpaign-to/

Unfortunately, I still failed. I'm wondering if anyone could take a look and maybe list some possible factors that could have contributed to this so I can avoid them later.

    Thank you.

Could you provide some stats like - percentage of people that completed your video, number of people that played your video, amount of traffic that was driven by ads, and if you used Bitly some stats from that?

I tweeted you that you Failed To Fun and did NOT fail!

Anyone with guts enough to put themselves out there in public is a roaring success! Your campaign was managed empecably, and you have a great sense and style with web design. You made the stark template of the KS dashboard sparkle with ingenuity. Perhaps ending the week before Xmas did not help? Is your goal exactly what you need tonfund your project, or is it what you would like to fund your creative life as well as the project?

Ifthe goal you set is what you need to make this project take flight, then relaunch with the same goal, but if you could lower it and grind down the budget to the bare bones then maybe set a lower goal on the second round and push for stretch goals and level ups once you crack your but.

    Never give up.

You already know how to hustek.

Pick yourself up, eat some comfort food like I did second round and relaunch.
Maybe strategize with us on this forum and do a pledge drive on your new launch date, so we can advertise for you?! I failed to fund my first round. Vaporstarter really helped me out along with Sal, Wendy Ice and Super Wife/Mom, Danielle. Do you have a team in place to help you next time? Count me in, if I can help in anyway.

I really believe in you and admire your spirit and think you are a super talented comic artist. Your name will be in lights one day! DONT forget that!!!
