Actually I think project owners need to take a step back. It's great to get support but at the end of the day, it's down to what you're trying to raise
There's stats like 60%+ of all campaigns fail...it could be due to lack of publicity, promotion, no outreach or could be at the end of the day the project is crap
If you've identified a target market, tested it out amongst family/friends, then strangers...and they like, then you've got a possibility of a winner campaign.

Nope. In your context, I am not right. We have a totally different opinion on this.
You are suggesting that project owners need to take a step back. Maybe you gently means they can have a good rest after spending time improving a product. But from my point of view, you are suggesting them to let the other handle the promotions and marketing for their product.
Its not down to what you are trying to raise. What you are talking about is bias to project owners. What about the contributors? This is just like click bait scams. Fishing for support are not the same as earning them. The context alone sends you the different visual for the situation.
Fishing for fish = chances is the fish might get away even after eating your bait
Earning them = you work hard. the fish are now given to you. you earned them.
What most campaign promoters or marketing agencies do is fishing for support. They SHOULD NEVER EVER promise their client anything...but they did! I can do this I can do that. But when the fish get away even after eating the bait, they just told you to rub it off.
"I am sorry maybe your project are not good enough"
So why the hell do you promise that you can make a difference back then. That's the issue we have for all marketing agencies. Hyperstarter, I understand your business module. So why dont you share me here, for the others to get a straight out view and tell us why you are different.
If I am looking for marketing agencies, I want them to share the same sentiment for my project.
Thats how McDonald stays with the same advertising company for like forever.
The same goes with Apple, Ikea, and Microsoft.
Theres no way to tell if one can prove they do share the same sentiment towards our project/product. But I am sure as hell running errands is not one of them.
Again, hyperstarter, do not get offended by my comment. I am being straightforward with this and you should too. Hate me if you have to I dont have any ill feelings towards your company. I am just trying to convince the majority of project owners to treat their baby well. thats all.
