I found out about Kickstarter 2-3 years ago from a gaming blog, when I was searching for new board games or card game to purchase for my friends.

During university I came across some journal articles that dealt with this phenomenon. As a finance student I got interested quite quickly and read all available papers ever since.

My friend shared me a link to a first Pebble campaign. I got interested and now i check it almost every day !

I've been introduced to a concept of crowdfunding through a friend. Every day learning something new and exciting about it. It's really inspiring to be a part of crowdfunding community.

I first heard of Kickstarter from the Pono campaign. Dj, musician and producer so the product tickled my fancy. Now I can't wait for my first campaign!

I actually heard about Kickstarter because a coworker of mine had previously used the site and gotten his first feature film successfully funded in part because of his campaign

I first discovered Kickstarter when I was looking online for female action figures. Through a Google search, I was linked to IAmElemental's Kickstarter campaign (awesome product!).

I found Kickstarter through a blog post about Windcatcher. Great product, and proves getting your story in front of the right blogger works!

My biggest problem with Crowdfunding had been the short window of opportunity - I disliked finding out about a campaign AFTER it's already closed. It was finding out about the Out of the Grey campaign after it closed that finally got me really wound up looking for a blog or podcast to highlight campaigns for Christian music while the campaigns were still active. I never found one & didn't like simply waiting for someone to post something on Facebook & I hadn't joined mailing lists of every band I liked, so I started scouring Kickstarter and Indiegogo every couple days looking for new campaigns.

My FOMO (fear of missing out) caused me to be pretty obsessive about checking the different platforms frequently and eventually I started the podcast I'd been wanting to watch or hear. Now, all that research ends up going into a weekly podcast

I have read about Kickstarter on a finacial forum where they were pointing out some of the big campaigns that sucsseded from my country. I get into it and was amazed how good a tool it is to bring some new ideas to life
