This post pushed me over the edge to run backer club on my campaign.

It was worth it, it got me over 900$ in a new pledge directly from their site, but whats more important is the boost in pledges rocketed me to the top of the discover page for a few days. Which got me another 2000-3000$ in pledges.

    Worth it, for sure.

Sounds good, but how come it worked so well for you and not for others. Care to share what you did?

I am definitely not the only one it's worked for. When I was looking at their current campaigns I definitely saw campaigns that looked like they were doing poorly. But the majority made at least 1000$ in revenue. I wasn't pay attention to it they hit their goals yet, I was more concerned with average return on investment for those already funded.

I think my campaign did well because it was already way over 100% funded, when I put it on backerclub people who saw it already knew the project would be successful so they just had to decide if they wanted the rewards or not.

To sum it up I'd say backerclub won't bring your campaign from utter failure to total success (be realistic people, throwing 380$ at your problems won't fix them all) but if you already have a good campaign and a good product, it can certainly help. I will use it again.

Great feedback, was wondering what the best promoter team was for my campaign. I'll do some research for my project and see what kind of traffic I can get for our story. Thanks.

That would be great, thanks for the support and exposure. As you can tell we never stop play spies, and think this concept will bring back some great memories and create new ones as well. Heck, who doesn't want to be James Bond for a day, now you can be him every month.

Thanks again and I'll PM you on the board (once I figure that part out :})

    Thanks,
    Brian

Thinking of using a service as well. Would love to know how they get paid and what % they get paid.

Hey Mate! I think I can help answer your questions about Backerclub :)

They do not take a percentage of funds raise as they just charge a flat fee. While I have seen alot of successful campaigns on Backerclub it can still be hit and miss for some. The good thing is, Backerclub does not charge you unless their users generate more than $379 in new pledges so compared to some websites, they are very low risk.

Please feel free to get in touch if you have any other questions about your Kickstarter campaign. Cheers!

Great post. We just recently signed up with BackerClub as well and the orders are really starting to flow in! I know you mentioned you've tried other services with no luck. Any chance you could list the ones you've tried? In particular, I was recently messaged by someone from Petagadget but I'm having trouble finding any information about them here or anywhere else. Thanks!

Hey, Thanks for sharing your experience :)

I haven't heard of PetaGadget before reading your post so I did some research into the business. I can't seem to find any information online about it aside from the testimonials on their own website. The testimonials also look 'dodgy'; If they really did sell 3000 towel dispensers @ $60, their revenue would have been $180,000. While I do not have any evidence to back this post up, I would recommend getting in touch with each of the testimonial product owners and ask if the listing was worth it but I highly doubt the ROI would be that high!

It functions very similarly to http://thegadgetflow.com/. TheGadgetFlow is a great website that has case studios and lots of reviews online. The 'Submit' page generally has a support team you can chat live with and discuss there packaged options.

Please get in touch if you have any questions :)
