- We didn't expect such a huge traffic inside Kickstarter. More than 60% of our backers (totally 530 backers so far) have directly come from KS.

- To be able to get organic traffic from KS, your project should be popular on KS

- Even 1$ pledge is very important, However, it's very difficult to convince people to donate 1$. They have to make an account and submit their credit card info. It means a lot of time and also trust for the first time backers. It costs much more than $1 for them.

Hey, I second that. While $1 is nothing to some people, putting in their credit card info, signing up, and pledging can turn people off supporting you. There is definitely a lack of education in the crowdfunding industry and not enough people understand how it works.

From my current campaign, https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/tworooks/two-rooks , and Previous campaign Zeroclass (which failed pretty miserably) The biggest lesson to be learnt is to know your following and build it far before releasing your campaign. You can only count on 1-10% of your audience to make a pledge at the end of the day and you can't count on Kickstarter traffic to be enough.

We have joined the kicking it forward movement and currently considering kicktraq to widen our reach , will update how that goes later for anyone else curios .

Mentally be ready for cancellation. People change their mind and cancel their pledge.
The reminder letter Kickstarter sends 48 hours before ending the campaign can be the last momentum for your campaign.
We have 40 hours to go and still hopeful to unlock a stretch goal. Never give up!

Also if you've 40 hours to go, I'd suggest sending an individual DM/tweet to each of your followers who haven't backed you...reminding them the campaign will end.

I've seen the style of your tweets already, so you've got this covered but to everyone else:
You need an "action" point of telling your followers what you want them to do.

For example, if you've 40 hours to go say something like:
#40hours to GO! XX (campaign name) is ending soon. We'd appreciate your help and please RT us *link*

@Hyperstarter. Thanks for your comments. We have almost 2500 followers on twitter, It's somehow impossible to send a DM/ Tweet to all of them manually.

If you want to send a lot of DMs last min in a short time, make sure to find a company that can help you. There are some websites that send 100 DM daily for free. If we want to use them, it takes almost a month to send a DM to all of our followers.

Have all of your marketing emails, posts, etc. ready to go before you launch. Once it's "go time", it's much easier to cut and paste these templates into the email, post, etc. and hit send then having to have to draft it day of. There's so much to do; plan in advance these tailored steps beforehand.

Very useful. If you had to make any changes to kickstarter or any other crowdfunding platforms what would they be?

That Kickstarter campaigns are much harder to do these days especially if you don't have previous backers from other projects. However, it is still possible to do if you have a strong pre-launch!
