This is very impressive. This is very exciting to hear about your success, and I hope to follow in your footsteps. With your experience, I would appreciate if you would take a look at our preview site.

Nice advice.....what do you say to your family and friends?

The people around me dont even know i developed a software so they have no idea i am even on Kickstarter?

I am just a private person when it comes to my business/family relationships....maybe that is not good for a project on KS then? Oh oh!

In case anybody is interested in research on backers and would like to partner up, I have just launched my kickstarter campaign calling for interviewees. It would be great if you could share it with your backers! :) You will get the paper in the end, of course :)

Are you backer and willing to be interviewed for my research project? Please visit my Kickstarter campaign for details and contact me in case:

I've never thought of partnering with someone who has already done a successful Kickstarter campaign. That's one to keep in mind. Thank you!

It funded in less than 12 hours. Here are the main factors that I think contributed to the quick funding:

    1. I set a reachable goal

For my goal I chose the minimum that I needed to raise. This obviously makes it more likely that it'll fund but it also makes you look like a winner. No one wants to back something that is 1% funded and looks bleak, but people love to be apart of something that was fully funded early on.

    2. I reached out to close friends and family personally right before launch

The day before I launched I reached out to about 50 of my closest friends and family with an individual, personalized message. I told them about the Kickstarter I was going to launch and that Kickstarter takes into account the number of backers so even pledging $1 would help a lot. Many ended up pledging much more than a dollar.

    3. I partnered with someone who had successfully run a similar campaign

This person had over 1,500 backers from his previous project on his email list. We worked out a deal so that on the day I launched he sent out a message to his email list about my project.

Hope this is helpful! Let me know if you have questions!

Well done. I like all that you wrote and I believe all that could work. Its good to know someone who has done this so they could give you some guidance. I launched my project and then I couldn't share it because the video was coming the wrong way on facebook. I did not sleep three night to get it fixed. Finally realize it is a problem between facebook and kickstarters. The tech support guy from kickstarter said he will forward my campaign to be featured. It didn't happen, at least not yet and I lost three days of campaigning. Thanks for the info, I wish I saw this earlier! Oh well. for next time! :)

    Hello Folks,

Please read and listen, Important. I started a kickstarter campaign that has brought me a lot mixed feelings. I want to make everyone aware of this problem I had so that they do not face the same.

My video when I clicked on the share button would not show the newest and proper professionally made video. For three days I could not show my video. If people saw my video they would be like. What the heck, this guy is trying to shoot a professional movie, maybe he should cancel this Campaign and start one to raise funds to take some classes on how to shoot a simple video. My first video was all over the place and it looked so unprofessional. I changed that right before the launch, but kickstarter and facebook did not take it the same way. The crappy video was shared by my friends because there was not much I could do. Finally after losing 5 days of the campaign I talked to Kickstarter tech support, he provided me some information that you will not find anywhere else to resolve the issue. I am not a Tech Genius. The issue is resolved now, but THE PAIN of sitting there for three days sleeplessly dying to share the project almost drove me crazy.

So for all those people who are ready to launch, please check the facebook share button, and try to share th video to yourself only. If you see it is not the perfect video you uploaded to Kickstarter contact them asap. Before you launch. Do all this a week before you launch. The video is everything and first impressions. Too.

I am behind and I would appreciate help. Please if you can support my campaign it would mean the world. If I could at least catch up with a day or two it would be a blessing. http://kck.st/1PA3Y9T Also let me know if I can help with your campaign. I could try and see if I can share it. Also I will see if I can back your next project. This is my very first one. Thanks

That is a good tip about partnering with someone else, is this the same as Cross Promotion? And did you approach them or did they approach you?
