first heard of it through Australian company LIFX who did extremely well a few years back , on our side of the word KS hasn't really caught on yet .

Hello. I am an indie games developer. I heard about KickStarter from other indie game developers and decided to give it a go. One thing led to another and I just found this forum. Nice to meet you all.

I knew from crowdfunding on its beginning, but as long as I didn't need it, just got up to date and contributed sharing campaigns, as I have no money to give... yet!

Kickstarter is a great platform, and I have seen it growing and being more and more reliable. That's why my first serious project ever has been created there!

I heard about kickstarter about last year with the znaps adapters. I searched google for a similar product and was directed to kickstarter. After seeing numerous great campaigns , i was hooked. Now i'm starting my own project and this forum is great . Im sure the community here is just as awesome.

I have known crowdfunding for a while mainly because I am an Engineer and love reading about new technologies and business startups. I have seen mentioning of Kickstarter or crowdfunding on many media places like TIME and ENTREPRENEUR magazines and online media like TechCrunch.

I am currently running a Kickstarter campaign and am trying to find ways to receive donations other than friends and family. When doing research, I came across Kickstarterforum.org. Hopefully it will be beneficial!

Most people haven't heard about Kickstarter or crowdfunding, so how did you first hear about it?

I was just googling different forums and Kickstarter is a great one!! Love it!

I think I first heard about kickstarter from an online news article. It sounded like a very interesting concept to help people get creative projects off the ground. I have browsed off and on but just recently started to get more interested. When we came up with a card game idea, we decided this was the place to start. Unfortunately, we are just having a hard time steering people to the campaign, so we came here to get more advice.

I fell in love with crowdfunding concept when my lecturer mentioned it in his class last year. Its incredible how this concept can change the world! Anyway I'm going to make a thesis about Crowdfunding, and I realize the data is still quite difficult to get. But still i feel optimistic about this concept, and believe this is the one who can make world a better place.
