I am currently studying Finance and doing various part times jobs like driving. My passion project is making my first short film after not making any video projects (other than very basic youtube videos) for 13 year. I've had this project sitting on the back burner for 10 years.

    Hello:)

My day job is at a Yoga Ashram in Virginia. Founded by Swami Satchidananda (The Indian Swami who opened Woodstock in 1969) I work in audio and Video at the Ashram.
At the same ashram I work at I met my friend Shankari, and in this friendship I discovered my passion.
    The Ascendants.
A musical duo that combines my love of Music with my love of Yoga.
Perhaps it is true; When one first finds Peace, everything falls into place.

    Love

My day job is volunteering at Samaritans and at a boat trust for the disabled. My passion project is trying to help my friend over the final Kickstarter slump to get her first novel published. Only 100 copies to sell - at £10 per copy it should be a no brainer but I'm beginning to wonder what I have taken on!!!

So by day I deliver pizza....yep that's it

As far as passion projects well I've had a couple. For a couple of years I got really into YouTube. The channel now has over 29,000 subscribers and almost 16,000,000 total video views. It's all just anime couple tribute videos.

Then my wife got me into table top games, and before I knew it me, her, and her dad started developing card and board games for fun. We wanted to share our games with the world but...money. So we looked to Kickstarter and found out that we need two things. Money and Experience. Money for great graphics for our games before Kickstarting, and experience in running and most importantly following through on a Kickstarter
So Long story short we are saving money. And we had an idea of how to start a Kickstarter campaign with pretty much guaranteed success so that we could get the experience of running a successful campaign.

Enter "The $1 Poem Project." You see I've been writing poetry on and off since I was kid. It's something I'm passionate about and enjoy doing. And so the idea was born that if someone gave me $1 and a topic, I would write them a poem about that topic and mail it straight to them...That's it..that is the idea.

And after weeks of putting things together, working on pledges, stretch goals, shipping costs, etc. I posted "The $1 Poem Project" on Kicksarter as of February 2nd 2016. And so far so good. We are 700% funded (The pledge goal is $1 and my grandma is generous lol) For those of you who are also generous, poetry lovers, or just interested to see what it looks like, I'll include a link. https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/84 ... nav_search

So...that's what I do. Pizza, Games, Poetry, and Kickstarter.

This is a really nice thread. :)

I am a pastry chef, which I guess would be my "day job." However, I just moved to Paris from NYC (with my French husband) and I've had no steady income for over six months. So I started developing recipes at home and photographing them for large blogs/small brands. It's not really full-time, I'm more of a freelancer. I had to figure out a way to earn an income or else move back to the US.

My passion project is Doughmade (http://www.doughmade.com) - my baking company consisting of just me! I'm trying to bring American donuts to Paris... They don't have them here. Parisians hate change, but I've gotten good feedback so far.

Check out my campaign if you have time. I'm really just a normal guy trying to live a happy life doing what I do best - making pastries. https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/77435543/doughmade-the-portable-doughnut-shop-in-paris and please, please, tweet or share. If you're another creator and you back me $1, message me back and I'll return the favor!

    Hi Entrepreneurs,

By day I work in a large software corporation on the development side of things.
My passion is the card game bridge, which I discovered too late to do well in. But there's always a next life :)

I'm a teacher by nature so I love watching and learning from kickstarter projects and this has led to some really cool kit acquired for my daily cycle to and from work.

I got drawn into kickstarter through a seminar course in which I mentored a high school team in building a business (German "juniorprojekt") http://scn.sap.com/community/social-media/blog/2012/02/06/facebook-for-project-management-lessons-learned-so-far

    Good luck all,
    Alan

I am a Holistic Physician. I love inventing. I have great interest in getting one of my inventions on the market. I even built a 3d printer, so I can make prototypes. Now I just have to figure out how to promote my product http://kickstarter.petliquids.com/ I could use some help critiquing my videos. Not getting the response on facebook I had hoped

InfiniteHorizonsUly wrote:Day job--audio video salesperson at huge electronics super store. Not Best Buy, but the place I work is well known in the West. Think Wherehouse store with most stores having a theme.

Passion project--crowdfunding my art! I read an amazing article from a publisher of Art Space Tokyo. He mentioned that Kickstarter was an amazing platform that--if utilized properly--allowed one to attain seed capital to launch a micro business. This is the Master Plan. In fact my previous project and April campaign are leading up to a mega project u will launch in late 2014. If I thread a tiny needle I hope to be able to work full time as an artist in 2015.

That is right, I think Kickstarter is awesome. It can really bring your passion to life. I hope you do well and get it going. All the best bud! :)
