Has anyone else had problems with google analytics?

For the first day it was great, shows how many people went to the page, where they came from, what they clicked etc.
Since then it reports "0 visitors" every day (for four days) but we've had plenty of backers so I'm sure that isn't the case.

I'm using analytics for my blog as well and the reports there are fine, so neither my account nor google analytics itself has a problem. Any ideas?

Thanks for the reply That seems like a pretty good description of what I've done - checking the page the correct tracking code is inserted with no whitespace or other shenanigans that'd ruin everything. I guess that's no surprise since it worked for a day.

That's the main thing throwing me off, if it hadn't worked at all then that'd make more sense :/

Also the bit on the page view that displays whether it's receiving data or not is just blank. I've seen it say "receiving data" and I've seen it say "code not found" and other error messages - but I've never seen it simply absent before.

No problem at all, I hope you can get your tracking issue sorted out.


My other suggestion would be to try this plugin for Google Chrome: https://chrome.google.com/webstore/deta ... hohjechhna Although I haven't used it myself, it is supposed to pickup errors and warnings if the code is not correctly installed.


I did a quick Google search and it seems many others are having this problem (not with Kickstarter campaigns, but with websites in general) but I was unable to find a fix. Let me know if the plugin picks anything up

Will do, but I'll have to wait till I'm on a computer where I've got the permissions to install things.

I saw a few posts of people having similar problems but a lot of the time the solution was "Wait for the data to appear, sometimes it can take up to 24 hours" - which is why I'm just now addressing this four days in!

I understand. Normally issues with Google Analytics that are due to the data taking its time clear up within 1-2 days which is why I am also skeptical with what the issue is exactly.


I will get in touch with a colleague of mine who has more experience with Google Analytics then I do and I will let you know what he says. Keep me posted if you figure it out!
