What helped:
-Researching relevant blogs/media, finding contacts and preparing our message for them
-Reaching out to friends and family, as well as relevant user groups
-Doing all this in a coordinated push on launch day.
We are still working on our media coverage which we hope will help with the rest of the campaign but it was awesome to get funded so quickly and while it's far from over yet, it definitely does take a bit of pressure off which is nice.
Have you been funded quickly? Would love to hear your story and tips. If you have any tips for extending the momentum for our campaign of course I'd be all ears as well.

Wow, Congrats I too have a 15k goal and am hoping to fund quick! I have a question about media contacts and message prep. I have been reaching out to Tech Mags, to try and get my new gadget to them for review before launch. What is your most successful media approach strategy so far?
