    Newbie question. Please help

    by simple » Thu Oct 15, 2015 9:47 pm

I just got my syndication report to the press release and I think it looks phenomenal, I'm impressed as too how many
sites get reached through this service.

my question is who reads the press release in all those websites? are they made public or are these for the writers to see?
I guess the idea is to hope that someone features your project and writes about it?

    sorry about the newbie question.

Hi, Care to share who you used (PRweb?) and how did you do it?

I think it depends. Perhaps PR's are "old school" with social media being a way to directly contact influencer's. I've run PR's before and only a handful got picked up and gained popularity that way...I think it's about luck really.

My understanding is that it's made public but search engines don't rank them and they fall off the radar. I think editor's do use them, perhaps via RSS feeds...like a flow of information coming through. If they see something they like, they'll write about it and depends what the boss wants them to do.

Whilst if you're targetting a specific editor who you know is interested in your field of work, then makes more sense to put the "feelers" out and see if they will bite on your PR.

    Hope this helps!

I used crowdfundingpr so Sal's service.
Thanks for the reply. I'm just not getting much traffic and I've done my diligence on twitter, FB and the thunderclap didn't make a peep after supposedly reaching 170k people with it. I was hoping that the PR would help.

I only have 275 video views and 10 supporters after 2 days. I just don't know what else to do.

Ah thanks. I can see the potential with this one actually. I think the first point is that you should come across as making all sorts of furniture for all devices. At the moment the top images show the long stretch thing.

I actually think the desk holder is better to show at the top and the x4 backers agree too. Can you change it?

I'd also like to see the images a bit more crisper, perhaps in a better setting too and high quality.

Overall a good start. I also see this is another Backerclub sponsored page. I'm not sure about these guys actually, alot of non-successful campaigns have the backerclub logo on them...not sure how they can help and they've never bothered to reply to me in the past when I've contacted them and I've written positive things in the past about them too ;/

Let me know if you need help with your campaign! All the best.

giftsandcoupon, thx for all the help. it's funny a lot of people like the rewards more than the main project lol.
I'm fine with that but the rewards are organized by price but I will follow your suggestion.
I will put the desk holder on top.
please PM me details about your service.

My goal with this project was to experience as many options/services within my budget so backerclub was one of them.
according to my dashboard my project has only been seen 4 times in the backerclub page. one again I'm willing to make mistakes with this campaign so that my second one won't have them.

my biggest question is how to direct traffic to my kickstarter.
according tot he dashboard 98% of views have happened through kickstarter.
I only have 317 views so far. if I had 10,000 views and not backers then I would know my project isn't good but that's
    not the case.

Could you email me at email@giftsandcoupons.com

    - I've no idea though why you're not getting the views. Is it because of your title or thumbnail?
