A very Simple Reward that we took from another campaign for a small amount backing was a page out of one of the lead actor's script with notes on it and signed. A very simple easy reward that also doesn't use much postage so easy to fulfill.

Here are some of the Rewards we have come up with...

Some rewards we were proud of that didn't work...

On our last project we were making a movie so one of our Rewards that we were proud of was a Pizza Party! We would order Pizzas and Sodas to be delivered to the Backers house for them to have a Pizza Party and a movie night. We thought it was a Great idea, but it didn't draw much attention.
We also had a reward to receive an original tattoo designed and inked by our director who is also a tattoo artist, but I guess the crossover between our film lovers and tattoo lovers wasn't there.
And a Fun one that we had that was really more for family and friend's was to have our production company (4 guys 3 of whom have Always had beards as long as I've known them) were going to shave their beards. Something we thought would be fun, but it was only appealing to their close friends and family so it didn't have the draw we wanted.

We have learned from those so we came up with new ones that are working better. On our current Film campaign we have a few Rewards that are definitely drawing more attention then others.

    1) We have a comic book Reward that seems to be the current favorite. One of our characters in the movie creates an original Comic Book and so we offered as a reward to get a Limited Edition Copy of that comic book that will appear in the movie. This is our most popular.

    2) Related to the comic book, we had a limited amount, but we had a Reward to have a character in the Comic book made to look like you.

We had a lot of fun with trying to think of interesting and Creative Rewards to make it more appealing to people to back our film. Check out the rest of our rewards ... https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/purposepictures/parkers-anchor

I like the idea of giving the backers a small slice of the pie, such as a signed project such as a book, or a personalized thank you that remains with the project for others to see. I think that giving away too much is a bad thing, sort of like free Kindle books.

I have an all-girl fighting tabletop game campaign going on no thatmy 7 year old daughter and I created. I'm offering fighter cards as rewards and stretch goals. Another one was sending games to troops tier. Also special signed cards for an Indy pro wrestler Thunderkitty.
Box set unlock, mini poster and specialty match handbook goals.

Just tried unique things to make it interesting.

Perhaps you could change things up and not specifically tell the backer what their reward will be.
Tell them that they will receive Christmas Gift from you.
Then you could send them something cool like a Christmas sweater with a handwritten thank you note.

I was tempted to offer in addition to the main reward a lifetime discount but it's against the Kickstarter TOS. How strict are they with this?

Surprising your backers is as good as making loyal relation with them for as long as they see your product around them.

A nice FREE gift or even a nice coffee or cupcake coupon is more better than just a THANK YOU.

Hey All! It's great to see so many people sharing their opinions and ideas on this :)

What I love to see are campaigns that have amazing $1 rewards. No one really wants a shoutout, tweet, or a thank you email as everyone is offering this (but I would recommend giving all of your backers these things for free to show that you appreciate their support). I have seen a couple of campaigns offer rewards like $1 T-shirts, such as: https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/jh ... tism-robot

Whatever you end up offering, make it creative!

    Best Regards,

    Jake

We currently are running a Custom Dog Tag USB That is pre loaded with our funded episodes and a TON of kickstarter Supporter only BTS Content.

The Dog Tag is actually Custome printed on both sides, so we have our awesome Lost Hope Logo on the front and "Kickstarter Supporter Edition" on the back

Seems to be quite popular so far, and was fairly cheap.
