It's so great to read about your story. I have the same fear which is holding me back. It's been years now since I wanted to launch my KS but I'm so afraid to fail. I've put so much work into my project, I would be devastated! I think you provide some real good inspiration here. Well done!

wow that is awesome. I wish I had that luck. I contacted over 30 different sites to get reviews or stories written and only 3 responded even though they were all sites that took kickstarter stories as submissions. it was pretty discouraging. luckily my kickstarter is going ok. 24 hours left and only $375 left to raise... which is a lot but not impossible

That's awesome! My Kickstarter has been up for more than three days, but I did as you; studied projects on Kickstarter in my genre (Publishing; I'm a 17 year old author after all) and took notes. I've been sending emails like crazy to blogs and podcast hosts since before my project began; so far no takers, but fingers crossed! If anyone has any recommendations, I would love to hear them. I know it's been a while, but this has been an inspiration to me!
