Today was our official "day one" as 52Teas. We launched the website yesterday: http://52teas.com and we just announced our first tea of the week. Our orders will start shipping mid-June.

Things have been BUSY and there's been a lot of stress that goes along with it, so I think that the Kickstarter campaign and how much work that was really prepared me for what was to come.

Congrats! I'm gonna have to try order some of your tea! Any tips that you used to help with backers/SEO/Press Release distribution? We're currently looking at several sites but I'm afraid to spend a couple hundred dollars or more if the they don't work I'm stuck with the same publicity I could've done on my own. Just curious since your project was successful. Thanks!

I really don't know how much help I'm going to be for you because I did the work myself. There was one publicity thing that I used and it cost me $20 but I saw no return on it, so I feel like that was $20 wasted.

Because I am an active voice on a tea related social media site, that's really where most of my backers came from. In addition, I was a tea blogger and my reputation as a tea blogger brought in a few dollars too.

But even with that, I still had to work hard to reach the goal.
