Positive without a doubt so far. Didn't think I would get any backers so I'm happy.https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/15 ... restaurant

It's been pretty positive so far. All my backers are fantastic people and great fans of the hobby. I'm just hoping that it continues to go as well and we get funded, so we can keep bringing awesome game content to the people!

So far I'm at a 0% of funding with only 4 backers and 3 weeks to go. People should stop funding useless projects like the potato salad and use Kickstarter to actually INVEST in a great idea. An Idea like Mise En Abyme Cloud Computers that can potentially CHANGE THE WORLD.
It's your chance to pre-order something that will be the Next Facebook in a few years!

    Hi :)
We're currently running a kickstarter campaign (82% raised and still 7 days to go!!) and I must say it's been a pretty frustrating in overall. Especially not having any backers from outside our network, even though we've been featured in 2 newspaper articles and also few online articles both in Denmark and outside. We also told everyone and so many of our friend shared the link, but somehow no-one who doesn't know us seems interested :?
I'm really afraid this fact's trying to tell us that our products aren't good enough... :|
The plan was to start a business with crowdfunding's help, but we'll to do it even if the campaign won't succeed...we'll just need to get the money from somewhere else and hope for the best ;)

Please feel free to check our campaign and share it if you find it interesting ;) http://kck.st/1B9DG7p
    Thanks! Pavlina

I knew the campaign would be work. But I was quite confident that I could pull it off.

I'm starting a portable camping hammock company. We give a meal to the homeless for every hammock we sell. The campaign started off with awesome momentum but has died down the last week. I'd love any advice or tips. I've been working social media like crazy and contacting every blogger I can find and while I've gotten some articles published, the momentum still isn't there.

    - Have you learned any new skills (marketing/social media)?

somewhat! It's still difficult to get attention without feeling spammy.

    - Have you gotten any backers you don't know?

Quite a lot of them. I'm an artist and my projects are art related, I've been posting my work online for years so I get a lot of backers who don't know me, but know of me. I've also gotten a few backers through KS itself, some of whom are regular customers now, one's a big supporter on patreon :)

    - What has been frustrating?

It's a lot of work to try to generate interest, I have a little bit of a following but it can be hard to get enough backers for even small projects. It's hard because most advice for kickstarter creators is more aimed towards tech, gaming, and other more interactive things along that line.

    - How did you motivate yourself daily?

It's something I have to do most days anyway, as an artist, finding the energy to paint in the evening after getting off work, keeping a steady enough work flow to keep a base of fans and buyers. It was hard when I was younger, but I've trained myself to just deal with it over the years. I bludgeoned my brain into submission :P

    - Are you planning on starting a business if your Kickstarter goes well?

My projects are all small steps towards making my art career a more stable source of income, hopefully one day a full time job.

    - What tools or websites do you recommend (others than this one haha)?

AAAGH. I wish I knew, haha. Networking with like minded people on facebook has been helpful to me, but I figure that's something pretty much everyone here does

So far it has been very positive. The Indiegogo folks were much more excited about our campaign but the Kickstarter community is what ultimately drove our decision to go with KS. Would be interested in hearing your thoughts on IGG vs KS.
