Thanks!! This is a really helpful piece of advice for getting noticed by the Kickstarter Staff. We're two weeks away from Launch and will send info/videos to Kickstarter directly like they suggest, but I appreciate having others to possibly/hopefully get their attention.

I too don't think being staff picked really has any influence as I've seen hundreds of staff picks campaigns not being funded, but the more promotion the better!

Thanks for the tip. We're launching our campaign tomorrow 4.14 and I'll give this a go. As others have mentioned, you can't try too many things to get the word out. It's certainly difficult to find support beyond those you already know. But that job falls on you. So the more tips like this the better!

Not sure if writing only a good PR will get you noticed, plus there's other ways to get into Google News...I think it's who you know really (I.e. Article writers)

Thank you for the information! It is hard to gain visibility when 50 projects immediately are posted right after you launch.
