Pitching an idea and asking for human resources?

    by cojocaru27 » Thu May 07, 2015 11:52 am

hey guys, i am new on this platform. I have an idea and i don't know where to start in doing the project for kickstarter, so here i am asking for some advices. Briefly, i am a passionate filmmaker and i found a way to connect to pieces of technology that can help DOPs and Directors to approche nowadays problems in operating the new models of cameras. The technology is there but none, as far as i know and i did some research, used it like this before. What i would need is a provider of the technology i am referring to and some help from a team of software developers. I have the idea and the concept. How should i approche the project on kickstater? most of the project are offering something in return based on a beta project that is already done. what can i offer since my project is basicaly "an idea" ? may i ask for human resources instead of asking for money? looking forward for your answers , good wishes for everyone of you. cheers.

so none can give me any advice>? the real problem is i don't have a prototype, i can develope one by myslef so i don't know how to set a project based on a simple idea. I don't know what budget to ask for or how much it will cost the final object that's why i need some help. This is my situation here. if someone was in the same situation, an advice would be more than welcome. cheers,

If you don't have a prototype, I think you should wait until you have one. Otherwise, it's going to be a lot less likely that you'll raise any money via crowdfunding (though there are other financing options out there).

@sbriggman, thank you for your answer. that was my fear as well. the problem is i am a creative guy. I work in an ad agency. I am a filmmaker in my spare time. I know the video orietated market well cause i was looking up to it for 4 years now. The last two years i was willing to invest in a pro consumer video equipment. So i have a good insight based on the trand in the technology of the nowadays cameras and a idea on how to bring together to different technologies to make the shooting more easy and fun. I know that technologie is there but i don't know how to bring it together and make it work. And i am affraid if i will ask for help someone will stole the idea and make it. Sounds foolsih but it is the situation am in. and i don't know how to deal with it
