I tried both Kickstarter and Indiegogo.
from my personal experience I think Kickstarter is easier to navigate and user friendly, for a creator is easy to check and put note for your backers. But they really strict with the campaign that get reported. They will Kick out every campaign that sound fishy without second thought no matter how much they make already.
Indiegogo is more flexible, anybody can use this platform to fund raise anything. But from creator point of view I think it is so hard to navigate and there is no button to change your contribution for your backers. Good luck if you have special promotion on your campaign because Indiegogo will not facilitate any place to put a note for each of your contributors.
