After a week of launch my first Kickstarter campaign. I just realized it is really hard to get people notice my project.
I am so desperate and almost spent all of my money and resources trying to get some help on social media. But is seems not very effective.
I am busy taking care of my little daughter who is just 4 yrs old. I almost have no time sitting in front of computer or go out to social with people.
I really need serious help.

My basic idea is to make people use solar cell as easy as AA battery. My project is here:

HI, I can understand your difficulty as I'm experiencing the same. I've spent a fair bit on PR agency, social media marketing agency and press release distribution companies but got no results at all despite their promises. Though I don't have a wide network, I'd be happy to share your project.

Thank you for sharing your experience. I am thinking of doing a road show in a nearby flea market tomorrow. This is the only place I can think of to rent a public place in low budget in short time. Hopefully I can show my prototype and get some feedback or attention.

I'll definitely do what I can to share your project to my followers and hope it'll push your campaign a bit.

I think you got a great project. Marketing is the toughest part of everything and requires heavy dedication. I suggest a simple approach and it requires only a few mins to do. Not sure if you did this already but basically by utilizing Facebook target marketing ad campaign, you can pinpoint your target market who are interested in solar and potentially reach out to tens of thousands of people in that area.

Btw you guys are very correct, some online marketing agency do promise a lot but the results rarely reflect any type of success. Journalists/editors will only pick up your story if they think it's news worthy, so even if you send your tip to a million sites/blogs/magz if none picks up then you get zero exposure. It's really tough.

Thank you for your tips. I did try Facebook target ads focusing solar and DIY audience. But it still not showing any result. Just couple people clicked like.

I don't know how much daily budget is good enough to push ads effectly. Currently I just use daily budge $10. Do you mean I should spend a lot more to get better result?

You're welcome. I don't think it's the amount you spent on Facebook that's not helping the campaign, although the more people you reached(with a higher budget) will always result in better performance. Therefore I wouldn't spend anymore on FB than you already did. I checked your campaign again and noticed your video doesn't have any audio/voice over. I think if you can add some audio+voice description of your project it could really help. The other thing is to find out what is preventing from "potential" backers from backing your project. It can give you a big clue on what areas you need to be focusing on.

I would try to contact (if possible) your current backers and ask them for opinions. They backed, that means something really drove them to take actions.

I hope my tips can be of help.
