Hi, I'm Craig and I launched my Kickstarter with my project partner, James Barton, on Thursday. Slow going at first, because I really didn't do enough homework about the promotion end of things, especially as regards lining up backers beforehand. Hey, I'm learning, at least. And I will get my film made, sooner or later! :)

    Hi Everyone,
I'm so glad I found this forum! I just launched my first Kickstarter campaign and I was searching for ways to get it noticed/ funded when I came across this forum. I've already found some useful information by reading some of the posts, but if anyone has any tips it would be greatly appreciated because this is the first time I've tried anything like this and could use some help.
    Thanks :)

Looks like a great forum. Just what I need for ideas to promote my campaign.

I'm trying to Kickstart a non-fiction book: "The Whole Shot: Collected Interviews with Gregory Corso"

Corso was one of the founders of the Beat movement in American literature along with Jack Kerouac, Allen Ginsberg, and William Burroughs.

I've got my work cut out for me since nobody reads books anymore and all of my friends with money are illiterate.

On the topic of Twitter tags and how to generate interest I'll admit I was slow to the Twitter game until I launched my project and have now jumped on board. That being said even with the tags to multiple outlets for crowdfunding groups (crowdcrux and crowdfundingpr_ included) I'm not seeing a lot or beneficial return interest. I've done the set of following whoever makes sense in my general theme but I may be missing something. Thoughts?
