I have a campaign that started Dec 12 and ends Jan 11. It has already exceeded the funding goal. I did not get any activity Christmas eve or Christmas day, but yesterday received a single pledge that equaled 90% of my funding goal.

So I think the question is more complex than just picking a single "best time". My next project will launch in February.

So what exactly is this protect? A pin up calendar or playboy type stuff? Just looks a bit like regular nude photos to me...

It depends on the product, of course. Of course, don't rush the campaign - you'll definitely end up suffering for it. For projects, I've read that the best times for fundraising are October (people haven't yet exhausted their Christmas gift funds) and April (long time after holidays, and people just got their tax returns back). Start in the 15th of the month, so it doesn't coincide with paying bills.
