Does anyone have any advice on approaching blogs to help market your campaign? I've got a list and every time I want to draft up an e-mail, I just feel like I'm harassing a bunch of people.

I don't know too much about blogs, only that I try to regularly make an entry and hope the amount of readers increases over time! I started mine for my Hire an Artist project, for people to read as a 'behind the scenes' style approach. But in my experience I'm not getting results. Although the writing definitely helps me personally.

Our plan was to try to offer some level of value to the blog owner - a sample or trial of our product. We also did our best to explain why "plugging" us would benefit the readers of the blog.

I found that using Twitter and LinkedIn are great resources. Also some people that have many followers will tweet your campaign for as low as 5 bucks! Good luck

It's important to come at it from the perspective of what's in it for them and what value you can provide.

How do you find people to tweet your campaign for a charge?

I think Facebook has a few groups. If you search for whatever pertains to your campaign, some will have ads in their banners giving you marketing options. Other than that, Google would probably work too.

I think the best approach is to figure out what's in it for the blogger. Some people are motivated by sharing their thoughts on cool new products or trends. Others are writing for a specific audience and are expecting a certain kind of content.

The other important point to keep in mind is that likely, these people are receiving a lot of emails a day - so how can you stand out? I try to keep my social media profile images consistent (those in email/Twitter/LinkedIn) and develop a relationship on one of these channels so they know who I am when I message them (or I remind them).
