Hello,

I have launched a kickstarter campaign a few days ago. I need help to be able to develop new projects for an existing photography website. The website http://www.all-about-photo.com/ is endorsed by a lot of people but it is free and I need funds to continue (and to be able to advertise in the press for a photo contest)

I have sent emails to all our supporters, no feedback.
Only family and friends have helped.
Facebook not efficient. People "like" but don't pledge.
What can I do to promote the project?

Did you try Twitter or Instagram yet? I mean Instagram is all visual, and you could accumulate a bunch of followers on there fairly fast!

You may want to try Pinterest. It is all visuals or images which would be great for photography. It is easy and you can set up a Business Page. Good luck.

Thanks for your ideas but with Instagram or Pinterest you cannot link your project to the image so I don't know if people will find it. I don't have a Twitter account and have no idea how to use/make tweets...

How about you post photos with your Kickstarter url link plastered over the bottom of them? Plus, you can too link images on Pinterest. As for Twitter, adding a pic is as easy as taking candy from a SLEEPING baby. Donate a $1 to our campaign, and I'll walk you through Twitter, AND follow you on Twitter. Donate $5 and I'll tweet out your campaign as well. You can tell I've got lots of time on my hands, huh? Can't tell that I'm doing these posts between researching and writing federal appellate briefs and memoranda of law, huh?

I would try to use social media to get your name out there. I believe that social media is critical when it comes to getting a new companies name out there for people to know. You can share the company with people that you might know and maybe they would be willing to help in anyway they can.

Comb through connections/network to find people who write/work in media covering things similar to your site. Press could help.

I'm in the same boat with my recently launched campaign but I'm just going to keep trying to expand my social media network as much as possible and hope to generate some support. Best of luck.

Also I think going out there and talking to whoever you can is important. Go to professional gatherings where you can meet new people. Or conferences / events for public etc.
