Here's an Idea: Kickstarter Stress Balls

    by RWP » Mon Sep 08, 2014 2:02 pm

Now this idea isn't mine at all! I was reading an old topic and found this,
We should make KickstarterForum stress balls and give them out free to members lol and/or a calming desk ornament that makes water sounds.

This was posted by an important user known as sbriggman. You may know him and if you don't you should, but his idea made my eyes widen. I think this is a great opportunity to help out the entire Kickstarter community. Many people get worried while waiting for their project to finally be successful. This can be very stressful at times. So I wanted to find ways to relieve stress for anybody.

    Here's a few ideas I had:
    1. Create green stress balls with the Kickstarter logo on it.
    2. A book with all sorts of ways to lower stress and depression.
    3. A special backer option for kickstarterforum users (obviously other people might get it before you though)

I would love to go on about why I chose to write a book to help others, but before I even begin to bore everyone go ahead and answer the Poll question. And if you'd like leave a comment explaining why you chose your answer!

    Thanks :D

You would need authorization from Kickstarter to use their logo on the stress balls.

You don't need their permission to launch a line of crowd funding stress balls, though. They would work equally well, no matter what category your crowd funding project falls under.

You can also make them green - or offer a variety of other colors. You could make them different sizes, for those who believe that, when it comes to fighting stress associated with crowd funding, size matters. There's lots of ways to be clever with words, to make the stress balls interesting or appealing.

But, people should only consider backing this project, if they've got the balls for it!

    Hah!

This project would be balls to the walls, I imagine.

By the time all is said and done, you might even end up an authority on other people's balls.

You made me laugh Charles! You don't care if I use some of those phrases in my project would you? Those are definitely great ways to make people possibly want to back the project!

Well, if you're going to be ballsy about it, I guess that I can just roll with it.

Oh, and if the balls are to have writing on them, hire a letterer It will have more visual impact, that way.

So, what do you know about actually creating stress balls?

Well a family relative has a (foam?) business. I'm not exactly sure what it's made out of. I do know that he orders this material that he heats up in a mold and it creates the shape you want. I never would have thought about this if I didn't see the idea left on another topic. So I'm not even sure if I will actually do this or not, but I thought it would be a good idea!

I'm actually currently doing a project for Veteran's Day that I've been working on for about a month. So after this project I might just talk to my cousin about the stress balls and go from there. I'm sure it would also help grow his business!

I also mentioned a book that I would have with these stress balls. It would be filled with all sorts of different methods to lower stress levels. I have learned a lot about stress, depression, etc. through my classes (working on a Ph.D. in Psychology) so it would be beneficial for me to help others who may be stressed since that's what I'll be doing for the rest of my life!
