Steps I followed in the pre-launch phase of my campaign

    by anandramdeo » Fri Sep 05, 2014 9:31 pm

I am new to the crowdfunding world and have recently launched our crowdfunding campaign on Seedrs. We started planning a while back and I have blogged about it in detail http://blog.planneddeparture.com/2014/0 ... -campaign/ few days back.

I am summarising key points here - please let me know what I should have done differently?

    1. Research - which platform is right for you?

    2. Support / invest in a project - understand the process from an investors point of view.

    3. Think about benefits / rewards - make it appealing for the crowd.

    4. Have your business plan ready.

    5. Contact and learn from people who have made their campaigns successful on the platform you have chosen.

    6. Keep time in your hand - it'll take longer than you think to prepare your pitch.

    7. Start contacting media / bloggers before your campaign is live,

    8.Visualise and plan entire campaign.

    9. Be prepared to work hard.

What else did you do for your campaign?

10th point (in no order) would be building an extensive network of potential customers that can jumpstart your campaign and spread the word. They'll give you feedback on all the other steps as well.
