I recently left the army where I was a public affairs specialist/photojournalist. I miss it. But now I am dedicating my time starting our project.

My passion project is called Finding America. It is a photographic journey through America as seen through my eyes, a veteran. More information on how this project is unique can be seen on our website http://www.FindingAmerica.photography.

Our Kickstarter page is: http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/circle-a-ranch/finding-america
We just started it yesterday 8/25/14. I am passionate about start ups and small business. This is what has built America and drives our commerce. I enjoy supporting crowdfunding projects. Give me a link to follow of your projects so I can connect and support.

Thank you.

my passion is cooking and mentoring people who really want better and to think of the whole business process as an adventure and not a cryptic maze for only the learned and monied, my passion is to see an empty space and to have idea what goes in it, complete with menu, interior design, staffing, marketing and demographic research all with in 2 hours !
it drives me nuts to think like that...and now a man with all to lose since the owners of where i work have dissolved and leaving all of us with a job..so you can se where i might have a real sense of urgency about my own project.

I run a design house providing graphic design service to worldwide corporations like Cathay Pacific, Whirlpool, Four Seasons Hotel etc

Working for corps sort of limits our creativity, and I prefer something more entertaining. So I design my own games and have out graphic designers work them out as actual product. Though I have the passion bringing fun to people, I am relatively new to the gaming industry. I am still trying out different ways to push my product. I am now running my first card game project (called "Burger Builder") on Kickstarter but seems like it's not projecting to successful fundng. But I am till planning to try launching my second board game project (called "Mining Maniac"). I'll see how it goes, if they don't work out, I guess I'll find some other ways to get my passion expressed.

Day Job - Financial Services Software Product Manager
Basically, I spend my days making bank software that tellers and bankers use on a daily basis as well as the user interface for large financial institutions. I like what I do a great deal and it gives me a chance to put my creative skills to good use.

Passion Project
I am currently leveraging my project and product management skills to make a comprehensive cloud based site that lets creators manage their backers and pledges, fulfill products, keep inventory and grow their business through multiple growth and sales tools. Let's say it's backerkit meets salesforce.com. I built a CRM product that went toe to toe with sf.com and beat them at one of the largest banks in the nation (Regions) and as a project creator and software designer, I think we can make a hell of a product. See...got all excited and rambled. There you go.

The Project has a name...it's called Crowd Control.

I love this thread - seeing the correlations and differences between day jobs and passions is very inspiring.

I'm currently still in school, so my day job is working at a grocery store while finishing up my BA in Communications with an emphasis in marketing, which is where my passion lies.

I've been lucky to have an amazing opportunity to utilize my interests by helping my Dad market his upcoming first self-published fantasy novel!

My first real marketing project is a Kickstarter campaign, and I'm extremely excited to take on this challenge and learn along the way . Any tips are most welcome!

Day Job(s)

I do Respite/Habilitation work for a girl with special needs. I also work at a small, family-owned, candy distribution company. I had a third job at an Urgent Care facility (just simple file management work), but I needed more time to focus on my projects.

Passion Project

For the last couple of years, I have poured myself into a new audio format called "Random Order Audio."
Most people like to think of it as a "choose-your-own-adventure" for music (if you remember those books). The basic idea is that artists can create as much content as they want for a song (Simplest Example - The artist may record a Guitar Solo, a Bass Solo, a Drum Solo and a Jam piece; all as options for the Solo section. Plus, durations can vary), and the listener can choose how the song plays out - either choosing options (in each section) to craft their own version of said song, setting it to random, or selecting a "Preset Order" where the songs sections are pre-selected (to just jump right into a song and start listening; usually set by the artist)

Beginning with audio, I am striving to create a future where all of your media experiences (Video, Image, Text, and combinations thereof) will be open-ended, yet simple to customize, and it will be entertainment and growth; side-by-side.

Thanks for reading!

Nice Meeting You All

I work as an HVAC Engineer with over 17-years of experience. Living in South Florida, work has been richly overwhelming with the type of weather. Recently my wife I have been working on a special project. It is now at an exciting level .. and we would like to share the excitement with all our friends. Our passion is to encourage communities living a healthy lifestyle hence promoting a nutritious, healthy and tasty snack rich in protein. :)

I will appreciate your support and or by letting others know about our project.

I work in a prison by day as an Employment Counselor. I'd love to start a dog park though! Maybe one day :-)

My day jobs and passion projects are all mixed together. I'm mostly staying at home with a toddler and baby these days, but I also work part-time as project lead on a non-profit project in air quality: MyAirSample.org

MyAirSample.org is one project I am interested in doing a crowdfunding campaign for. Currently we are a pretty small DIY project, but I envision taking MyAirSample.org in some new directions, endeavoring to make it into a national resource on air quality standards and screening levels. Long-term, I'd like to turn it into a solid well-designed site that makes air quality standards and screening levels more accessible -- for the public, for air quality specialists, for policy-makers, and for community groups.

I am also thinking about trying to help my musician dad with a crowdfunding campaign for recording his first CD.

My background is in science, specifically ecology and environmental science, and MyAirSample.org is one of a few projects I'd like to lead under the auspices of a larger non-profit I'd like to start that focuses on web tools for science and community. I am not sure whether I will ultimately pursue crowdfunding vs. stick with more traditional non-profit funding for MyAirSample.org and the other science web tools I'm cooking up. I'm on here to help me figure that out, and I'm hoping I'll be helpful to others here, too, as we all navigate decisions about crowdfunding.

We don't have a crowdfunding page yet, but I recently created a MyAirSample.org Twitter account: @MyAirSample ... I'm hoping to get with it on tweeting soon, and I'll certainly be tweeting if we do launch an indiegogo campaign.
