If you look at Kickstarter stats: https://www.kickstarter.com/help/stats

you can see that Technology projects have a very low, 30% success rate (compared to the global average of 42%). Actually, it's the category with the 2nd lowest success rate, after Fashion (28%)

Are there less commercial campaigns that are successful? My project is just a way for me to make people smile and I feel as if it gets drowned out by projects that are meant to create something profitable.
