My day job for the last year was running a little gallery in a storefront that also houses my studio. I'm a jewelry metalsmith. However, running the gallery took over running my studio business, but it wasn't providing personal income. So, I closed the gallery in order to focus on my own artwork and growing my wholesale business. This week, I just started a part time office gig at a law firm to bring in steady income while I working on my dream of getting my work into galleries, museum shops and specialty stores around the U.S.

Hi ! The answers here are really interesting to read.

My "day job" is kind of complicated. Until a year ago, I had been a newspaper reporter/copy editor for 30 years. Now I am living the dream in my parents' basement because my dad needs more care than my mom can provide (I told her that as a journalist, I make less than a nursing home costs. A LOT less). I do freelance writing and editing as well.

My passion project is probably the current Kickstarter project(campaign starts Aug. 4) I'm doing PR for, doing various writing and marketing tasks for a video game, Lords of Steel: AI Wars. It's something different from anything I've ever done; it's about video games, which is cool; and it gives me great creative opportunities.

I'm developing a novel Augmented Reality Engine. That has been both my job and passion for the last 2 years and 4 months. Well, actually, the last 7 months, I have just been trying to raise seed funding from investors for a product based on this AR engine. Not much success on that. The main challenge is that I'm a sole founder and investors don't like that, and probably my location is not very good for this type of technology/product. So now I'm thinking on a Kickstarter campaign to get the funds I need to finish this project.

Hello my name is Nathan Hunt I am a Indie game developer and am currently working on my first kickstarter project.

10 + years exp in 3D modeling
5 in project management

The Hindu God, the Lord Krishna and I have something in common—we were both born in the town of Mathura (India), albeit about a few thousand years apart. I have attended colleges in India, England and Canada and as an Oil Executive have lived and worked in the USA, Canada, England, the United Arab Emirates, Bahrain, Saudi Arabia and India.

Witnessing six wars (4 in India and 2 in the Middle East) and travelling to over 80 countries has allowed me to gain an in-depth knowledge of various cultures. Inspired by true events my writing offers insight into cultural differences, age-old traditional values and behaviour dilemma that coexist in the vast diversity and different races of the world.

Although richly influenced by my foreign travels, I find my inspiration from my life experiences and through my novels invite you to join me on a journey of life, adventure, mystery and intrigue.

To date I have published 5 novels but for the most recent, "Temple of Hope" I am trying to engage my readers through Kickstarter and excited that I have found this forum to participate in.
