Can you give me feedback on Kickstarter page?

    by dlewis1212 » Wed Jul 16, 2014 11:42 pm

Hey guys! After a rough but promising first week, my KS is starting to gain momentum. I wish I would have given myself 45 days since I am a newbie. But now I am down to 26 days. I got some a major press including a popular DJ in my hometown who rarely interviews anybody.

I've been working my arse off pitching to reporters and editors. I've gotten 3 placements from that (so far I've pitched about 35 people). So with all that said, I really would love you all's input. Can you go to my page and tell me what you think is working vs. what I could improve? Just looking for outside eyes who are not connected to me and who do not have a vested interest in the project.

I thought my rewards were cool, but the numbers still aren't coming as like, though with the press, they are improving.
    Thanks!

If you decide to crowdfund again in the future, I'd suggest building those connections before you launch the campaign. Build hype, an audience, and anticipation before the campaign is launched so you can really hit the ground running. That will also let you target your campaign to the audience you've built a relationship with.

Thank you Inventalator! I thought I did that, but apparently not well enough.

I like your energy and the project. It's not exactly my type of entertainment, but I think there are people out there that would be willing to support it.

Some feedback regarding the aesthetics: the rewards with all of the text are kind of intimidating to read. Like the $75 or $100 tier. Is there any way you could simplify it?

Ok. Thanks Sbriggman! I was wondering was it too much to include the previous rewards. I'll go in and simply that. Ironiclally, I'm starting to get national press for it, it just hasn't turned into donations yet.

Thank you MattBnB for your comment but I was asking for critiques on improving my page. I am well aware of who my target audience is and more than likely, you are not part of it.
