The campaign is doing great – but would love to see a bit of acceleration here at the end of the campaign. Most campaigns seem to get a big run-up at the end – haven't see that start to happen with my campaign yet.

I've got 2000 jewelry boxes in my garage, 2000 microfiber bags in my kitchen, 2500 product labels in my office and wallet samples strewn about the house. My first "production" run should be done by the end of the week for about 1000 units. The rest will trickle in over the next 3-4 weeks.

Fire and Bone 2 was awesome in my book. Was kind of surprised by the others a bit, but if it got backed a lot of people see something I don't obviously. I'm a minority I suppose.

We also blew over 3 times over our goal of $25,000 within our first week. Unfortunately after the first week things have slowed down considerably for us. Project now in its final 24 hours, shame we won't hit 5x of our goal the way it looks.

Instead of the typical slow start and run-up at the end, both our campaigns had fast run-ups at the start of the campaign and a consistent but slow run towards the end of the campaign...

Yeah unfortunately we have only gotten 98% of our press during the first three days after that the story was just cold. We had released a few extra pledges that gave us a small boost but they had sold out within two days. Should have saved that for the final two days. My mistake.

The trend seems similar but -

While the wallets have no media reports on kictraq - the aircondition did get media coverage.

@mooner - would you mind sharing your general approach to promoting this campaign?

We got picked up on BoingBoing, GeekBeat.tv, NoAgenda podcast and several other blogs... Promotion efforts were focused on my personal networks (Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter, etc.) to help spread the word out to as many 2nd level contacts as possible.

The orders were brisk when the project was on the Kickstarter "Popular" page. I think a lot of the "organic" Backers came from that source. For the first several days, I was within 1 - 3 clicks of the Kickstarter home page. I think high placement on the Kickstarter page is unbeatable promotion.

Great success stories! I really like the miniature skulls!
