I just used my cell phone camera which is decent. Had my 2 kids in there. I got the point across, nothing fancy as I've read that it's ok to not be perfect. It is what it is and we did our best. It should be ok...girls will add some extra cuteness for points maybe.

Yes, making a video is one of the keys to a successful campaign. I used a excellent service out of the US and they did a fabulous job...

I've done a lot of hard work and spent a lot of time making a high quality video for my campaign. Unfortunately, no matter how I encode the video, the quality of it looks horrible when I view it on the KS preview page.

We used a track from brokeforfree - really well done music! you can get his tracks for free if to be used in kickstarter. You just give him the appropriate credit. check him out!

I found that doing a graphically interesting video with a professional voice over is useful

I did a video for my campaign on Kickstarter, and it was around 10 mins. The campaign sadly wasn't successful. For my next project I'll be sure to keep the time down.

The best advice I received from my research and discussions with successful kickstarters is:

1. Keep the project under 1:00 unless you are a major company, celebrity, or showing CGI video with lots of effects.

2. Stand

3. Don't talk about money

4. Don't talk about yourself and avoid discussing how long you have been doing "X" without success (made this mistake with my first kickstarter)

5. Talk about the project and keep it to one idea per sentence

6. Make sure the project creator is shown in the video.
