Learned something interesting yesterday that may impact my projects ability to be a staff pick. We went live about a month after a similar product (we have a modern version of the bullet pencil, seen here http://kck.st/1CGkLTE) We know the other maker well, our prototype was actually done prior to his but he beat us to KS. Products are similar yet different in many way (if you search KS for bullet pencil you can see. As for the campaign itself, our page is more visual and has more content....we have a video (its no Ron Howard production but its a video) his did not. I learned yesterday he was a staff pick. I've been very active on Twitter, IG and FB, tagging the proper tags, etc. I've written to KS staff picks about how our project cam about, etc. Hoping we get the love. If anyone has any other suggestions, I'm all ears. Thanks.

This is an excellent article, with great tips. We have tried several of these for our campaign https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/tanyapalazzo/the-happiness-is-project. We have had some difficulty getting our project off the ground, so these will be useful.

    Thank you!

Informative post. I did not know that you could put a draft up of your campaign before you go live. I thought you had to do that on other websites like prefundia.com

has anyone else posted a draft directly on kickstarter and if so did you get good advice and feel it was a good move?

Do they ever use a staff pick to bump your project up in magic ranking in order to assist the last little push? I figure Kickstarter wants to see projects funded (if they don't they don't make money).

    Thoughts?
