    Facebook Cover Photo

    by WELdental » Fri Aug 29, 2014 8:34 pm

Since we are new here I'm not sure if anyone else has done this. After changing our personal and business Facebook Cover Photos to an image of a bumper sticker we are passing around, we have been asking our friends to change their Cover Photos to help promote our Kickstarter.

We are getting a lot of friends to do it. Like having a bunch of electronic billboards!!

Here is our WELdental Facebook page so you can see how it looks.

Nice idea. I would put some kind of prompt on the cover photo as well telling people to set it as their cover.

My grandmother had a saying and that is, "a closed mouth, won't get fed." Meaning if you are afraid to ask people for something, you will never succeed. With that being said, I would be hesitant to ask my Facebook friends and family to change their cover. If I did ask it would be just for one day (launch day).

I have changed my personal photo for causes, etc for a few days, but doubt I would do it to advertise a product, even if it was my own. I would feel more comfortable doing it on twitter.

I am assuming you are a dentist or in some way connected with medical field, and thus you probably have patients that you could give them a bumper sticker and offer a percentage off of a service if they changed, their page etc.

    BTW, you banner looks great.

Also don't just ask them, but also ask them to ask their friends and so on and so on. Maybe they wont but if they do, just a couple of those cycles can really add up.
