Ultimately, I think each person should do their own resources for niche communities related to their campaign like tabletop gaming or publishing.

Yes, I'm quiet aware that the resources in the article are just a starting point. I've heard the rumors, but I seriously doubt if posting one's campaign on these crowded and noisy websites is even remotely helpful. Still to each his/her own. Cheers.

Also, a quick tip: when commenting on another page, you should create your own company page first for your kickstarter. Make sure to add a post with a link to your kickstarter project.

Then, use the user drop down in the top right of Facebook to sign-in as the company page, instead of your user account.

Go to the page you want to write a comment on, and it will say your business name, instead of your personal name for the comment. For example "Checkout the new Kickstarter Game Star Fighter X! http://www.kickstarter.com/xxxx" posted by Start Fighter X.

If someone clicks your username, they'll see your page, instead of your personal profile. It's a way to capture secondary interest. Plus maybe a fanbase too.
