As someone who isn't new to this, I find that there are more "promotion" sites out there each giving the same schpeel than there are to do with actually creating something. Paying for hits and clicks seems like a con in a way. I was put off at first by Kickstarter when the potato salad guy became popular. Everyone is trying to cash in so to speak I wonder if there are legit ways that don't cost and arm and a leg for those of us that are budget-wise.

In the list 90% of the links I listed are free, there's no con. The paid ones are people I know or know by reputation, so I think you should give it a go and hope it doesn't put you off KS.
