Does anyone know the answer to this?

When I went to Kickstarter school they also mentioned the first few and the last few days are going to be the most crazy, (I guess they mean important) and that the middle part of the campaign you will see barely any movement. Any idea why?
And maybe it's not an S curve, but you get my ?

Not all campaigns will adhere to the 'Kickstarter slum' model, but many do.

Usually it's because there is a lot of excitement during the first week and creators tap out their social network and are in the recently launched section, so they are discovered by regular backers.

After this honemoon period, it's harder to get eyes on the project and maintain momentum. Towards the end, they are in the ending soon project category and also there is more anticipation, so people who previously agreed to pledge now have to before the time runs out.

We've found our campaign gets boosted on Mondays, oddly. However, the spike in the middle resulted from striking particularly fertile ground in our network.

Hopefully it follows the s-curve as we reach the end, though..
