So, when is the best time to send pitch emails to bloggers?
a. About a month before the campaign begins
b. 1 week before the campaign begins
c. After the campaign starts
Thanks for helping,

Vanessa wrote:Hi Nelson, it is of utmost importance that you took several months to build a good active relationships with bloggers. I hope that by now you got their interest in your project and they'll be willing to cover your campaign on their blogs. It would be good to email them 1-2 weeks before you start your campaign, prepare a page on your website a kind of coming soon page for your Kickstarter and they could publish that page prior campaign start. This will help get their audience interested in your product, and also you can give them some incentive like special limited early bird rewards.
Also, depending on how good relationship you have with them, they can post updates on your campaign, throughout the duration of your campaign, from announcing the campaign launch to covering special updates, like reaching certain percentage of funding, adding new rewards etc.
Here's an article we have about contacting influencers for your campaign

I just sort of answered this on this forum post: is-it-best-to-contact-newspapers-etc-before-or-after-launch-t5719.html
Here's some of my advice for pitching journalists and bloggers: http://www.crowdcrux.com/pitching-a-rep ... -campaign/
I wouldn't send pitch emails to bloggers a month beforehand. I would 100% develop a relationship with them though. You really need to take the time to understand what they write about and who they write for. Why is writing about your story going to benefit them? (yes bloggers, like me, are selfish haha)
I personally cover stories that showcase crowdfunding success. So, the person either has to share things they've learned that would be valuable to podcast listeners and in some way provide credibility with a successful campaign, or having tried out a lot of things to obtain that knowledge.
Most bloggers are both financially and mission motivated. They may want to share cool board games with their audience, because they believe in the creator movement. You have to figure out what they care about and approach them as a human being a month out.

Hey Nelson,
As a crowdfunding blogger, I receive tons of emails and press releases every week, and I have to say that it gets annoying to get emails from people I don't know who expect something from me without even creating some kind of relationship or try to network with me,
I don't mind hearing about projects coming up a month or 2 from now m but don't expect me to remember about it when you launch.
1 week before launch is good but still reach out to me like you would family or friends and don't just send a sales page of your crowdfunding project with a press release is attached.
After you launch is a little too late. Unless you just want me to share your project on our social media pages which isn't asking too much.
