What is the magic number from core supporters

    by sacharya78 » Wed Oct 19, 2016 11:15 pm

How many core supporters do you think I need in the first 3 days to get a project to be noticed? I expect to raise $8.5K and think I need to reach about 350 people for it!

The rule of thumb is to shoot for 30% of your goal in terms of funding, so it depends on the price of your reward tiers.

Hi @Sacharya78, you can reach out to more potential backers using one of the cheapest marketing tools out there, Facebook :)

Facebook is still the largest social network that's especially crucial to promote your Kickstarter campaign. I can say this because my campaign (see: http://kck.st/2e4tb2z) gets a lot of traffic and HIGH conversion rate from Facebook (i.e. 10-20%) because:
    1. We built a vibrant, close-knitted online community before we launched our Kickstarter campaign.
    2. We always post great content CONSISTENTLY that add values to our audience's interest and we try our best to avoid being over pushy / too sales-oriented.
    3. We hold weekly Facebook contests to incentivize our followers to share our Kickstarter campaign content to their Facebook timeline, which in turn reaches their friends of friends. This is a great way to increase brand awareness.
    4. Last but not least, we run Facebook Ads, which is a great avenue to for targetted advertising. We can modify the group of audience we want to target.

A good rule of thumb is that you can never have enough supporters.

I disagree. I say if you have 100 core supporters it will be enough to give you a strong start.
