    Its risky, you definitely want to use a subdomain for this mail blast just in case your domain gets flagged as spam.

    This is true. All marketing email is basically spam. As per the CSPAM act - sending email without the express written consent of the recipient is prohitibed by law, and punishable by fines and or jail time. Creators beware of your spam fraud tactics!
