My Kickstarter campaign http://kck.st/1AcSCHb started yesterday but it's off to a slow start. How should I get more views and publicity? Been contacting some press and have no replies so far, social media is also slow. Any recommendations on press release? how about some marketing campaign?
I just started my campaign yesterday and am off to a slow start as well. I'm currently working on a press release that should be done in the next day or so. Additionally, I'm attempting to create some more videos to post on my YouTube channel and other social media platforms. I'm taking it day by day and following the strategy of consistent improvements on drawing attention. We'll see if it works.
You have an interesting idea--I backed you (it's not much but every bit counts!)
Same story here... We started this Tuesday, already received some feedback from the guys on this forum, and updating the KS page.
Today is the 3rd day and are making a follow up mailing/press release to see if maybe some people (mainly friends and family ) 'forgot' about our project.
I think it's good to keep updating your project and give more and new information this way it will also attract people to come back and eventually make a pledge.
My Kickstarter Campaign is live now.

Sent off press release to a list we prepared before the launch and heard nothing back. Do you use any services? We seems to have received a lot of messages regarding how their company can offer service that promote my campaign. Nothing seems to work at the moment.
Well, I'm not being funny, but you're asking for a lot of money. You should always ask for ONLY what you'll need because you can always go over but not under. Sometimes asking for large amounts puts people off. Also remember to get a fan-base and backers ready to go BEFORE launch.

PR is one form of marketing, but it requires a great pitch, reaching out to journalists, and developing relationships with publications. Regarding the marketing effort, our partner website's tips on promoting your campaign will help: http://www.crowdcrux.com/how-to-promote ... -campaign/
Uniquesong, our app Krowdster has a great media outreach feature where you can get in touch with over 500 high impact journalists and bloggers that cover crowdfunding campaigns. But, as Sbriggman said you need to have really great pitch that will be personal and one that can show the significance of your campaign. You need to work hard and spend time on creating your media pitch just as you did for your Kickstarter page.
