Today my Kickstarter project was cancelled and my account deactivated, without so much as an email from Kickstarter. I was scrambling to figure out what happened...
An hour later Kickstarter emailed me and told me they accidentally deactivated my account. They were terribly sorry but they have put it back though they can't reopened my project. They did tell me if I relaunched they would donate to my project. I did relaunch, you can find it here, https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/ju ... ying-cards, they haven't donated yet but I guess we will see.
I was so upset I was practically hyperventilating, we were 80% with two weeks left to go....
Has anyone run in to anything like this before?

As an update, they did donate to my $125 tier so at least they tried to make up for it!

Wow... that's horrible. That's crazy. I've never encountered that before.

Did they explain at all how this happened? I can't really imagine how you can accidentally just deactivate an individual campaign.

That's...that's absolutely horrifying. I would probably have hyperventilated, then broke something. Then maybe died. Yeah, I probably would have died. It looks like, though, that you've met your goal, so congrats! But I'm really sorry that happened to you; I'm not paranoid Kickstarter will do the same to me. Let's hope that doesn't happen!

That's awful! I hope all of your previous backers backed you again? If not, KS would have had a lot to answer for - that could be terrible press for them!

Wow! I've never heard of that happening, especially that Kickstarter couldn't just put the project back up! At least you met your goal. Did you end up with as much as you projected to get before they closed it down?
