    Pledge Management Companies

    by Gunnern5 » Tue Feb 19, 2019 11:17 pm

    Hi All,

Have just finished my campaign. Transistioning to Indiegogo.

Have had numerous offers from Pledge Management Services.
Backerkit are too expensive for me. Any one tried CrowdOx or CrowdControl?

Know any companies? Have 354 backers, products have variations, too much to manage myself.

I'm in a similar situation having difficulty selecting a pledge management service.

    My concerns are:
    - Price (I would prefer a per backer fee instead of a percentage fee)
    - Security of my backer data

Right now I'm leaning towards pledgebox but I can't find much info about them online. Does anyone know more about who runs pledgebox? Did anyone use them before?

I did some background research over the weekend. Roger Li aka Li Zhen is the guy behind pledgebox:
    https://www.zhihu.com/people/roger-li

Roger's main company is called Gadget Labs (gadget-labs.com) which used to be called Panda Designs. Gadget Labs also owns projectwelove.com and betterseo.app. I'm told they also run a few campaigns of their own. For example:
    https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/67 ... ent-pillow
    https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/19 ... ood-sealer
    https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/hy ... r-engraver
    https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/19 ... 30-seconds
    https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/16 ... smartwatch

It seems like gadget labs / pledgebox are pretty well established with a lot of success behind them so I have opted for pledgebox over backerkit. Wish me luck.

I don't have any advice on other management fees, I've only ever used Backerkit myself. Just wanted to mention a factor when considering price. With Backerkit it did cost me a chunk of money, but if you have add-ons I have found that the amount that was spent on add-ons was more than worth it for the cost. After their initial Backerkit cost, the fees on items purchased and shipping costs etc. I profited about %250 of what I paid them.

Indeed, they are all the same. Everything depends on your possibilities and the funds that you're ready to invest in it. We recently expanded our company, and I needed a person who would deal with AAMS designation. To be honest, it was difficult to determine the choice of a specialist. Still, I decided that it would be more profitable for me to take a training course myself to understand the structure from the inside and not give anyone extra money. This knowledge is necessary for me as a leader. In fact, it is better than me to not distribute my finances in the end.
