    Mid-Campaign Slump

    by prismland1 » Thu Sep 11, 2014 2:57 pm

    Hi everyone,
I've been deep in research preparing for my upcoming campaign to fund some really cool educational plush toys (check'em out at the link below). Everyone seems to agree that most campaigns experience a lull in activity during the middle of the campaign. Do you have any suggestions of actions that can be taken to maintain momentum throughout the campaign? I'm thinking about doing an Instagram contest or something but wondering what other ideas are out there.

    Thanks!
    Matt

    Project coming soon.

Thanks! Guess I should have dug a little deeper...
I'm wondering if anyone has tried things like Instagram/Twitter contests to pick things up a bit. Are those received well?

biggest problem is that to the press it is biggest newsworthy event at beginning and end of campaign. do something noteworthy in the middle. contest isn't a bad idea. here are some other solid strategies few use you could rev up a project with: http://artofthekickstart.com/the-6-kickstarter-campaign-promotion-strategies-no-one-is-doing-that-actually-work/

I also think hitting your own network hard during middle to share is a big strength. Also pitching your story of already having a lot of success makes it more appealing to possible press/media outlets. Asking for follow up stories or shares from same media could work as well.
