The most interesting reward idea I've come across was for a mobile game, where the developers were offering to put the donor's pet in the game.

Hello all! I am bringing to market a portable kegerator. Haven't had too much luck on my lower tier rewards. We tried beer centric things like pints and growlers which have done ok. Would appreciate any thoughts on cool ideas! Cheers!

I think tiered reward systems and catchy "themed" names for each reward that have to do with your project make it fun and catchy.

I'm helping a friend with his Kickstarter campaign (launched yesterday) to develop an innovative "learn-to-cook" program and we went with: Early Bird Special, Appetizer, The Main Course, The Feast and The Entire Restaurant for the names of the various rewards.

T-shirts, early access to the product, signed copies, special offers, etc.

I had it kind of easy - as an artist, not hard to come up with rewards. It's making them as unique as possible that I think is important so I've done limited edition signed prints and a lot of background/behing the scenes material. That seems to engage people more than the actual work does lol

Im still very unsure of what makes a Kickstarter more appealing, that being said I offered hand painted concept art from my game I'm making as a reward.

Wow, so many great ideas here! I'm really glad I read this topic before launching my campaign.

I would say 2 of the most important elements of a good reward bear repeating:

- personalized reward
- think of something you yourself would want

One of the rewards we will offer in our campaign is the ability to come to our office studio and help us design an Apple Watch micro-game, an important feature of our game. We've already heard that there's interest for this reward.

I love getting products that I can use (socks, underwear, etc.)
It's also great (and smart) for the creators to give their backers a much better deal than retail.
Recently, the creator of some underwear (that I'm wearing as we speak!) sent out a set pricing scheme for their backers for life --- smart! they even added an affiliate program --- double smart!

I'm thinking some kind of special membership with your startup/ project. Something that can be of advantage to them over the years not just a one off. Financial rewards are not allowed but I'm sure membership can be made beneficial like eligable for giveaways etc... I actually wish I thought of this before, I only just thought of it... but since things are quiet I may have a chance to make an adjustment.
