Crowd-sourced fundraising site Kickstarter has dropped Amazon.com Inc. as its global payments processor in favor of Stripe, the fast-growing startup used by Twitter, Facebook and Apple.
The switch comes as Internet retailer Amazon begins to move clients from its customizable checkout service to an Amazon-branded one.
For backers, this means a simpler, faster and easier checkout process. No more being redirected or having to log in to a separate service. It takes half the steps, and it all happens on Kickstarter.https://www.kickstarter.com/blog/making ... nd-backers
