I thought the same as others here, that it was nice to see that the project was indeed successful. I supported a project last year that I didn't think was going to make it because there was so little time left, but a bunch of pledges came up in the last day. Then again, I knew another guy whose project just never did have a lot of momentum. I suppose a last-minute burst would still require some strong interest in the project and/or individual/group.
