Is it worth paying for campaign promotion?

    by shank » Thu Feb 05, 2015 9:56 pm

I have a kickstarter project ready to launch, and I am now looking for ways to promote the campaign. I don't have a good understanding of how to go about it, so I have been looking for professional help. There are individuals/companies out there that will promote your campaign for $150-$500. Anyone here has any experience with paying for promotion? is it worth it? I am looking to raise about $8k.

It depends on the type of promotion. If you're referring to strict advertising, it's best to do that once you know that people like the rewards/project and you have gotten a few strangers to pledge. This way, you aren't just sending traffic to the page and it's not converting into pledges.

Are there any services out that that will charge per results? Charge per backer, or on a percentage basis or such?
