Funded Today's "due diligence" fee, as it's called, is arguably rather pricey, but it's apparently worth it to some creators. I understand that this fee pays to test new campaigns to determine whether they can be advertised profitably or not. Over half of Funded Today's newest clients fail these advertising tests, I understand, and so Funded Today might go out of business if it didn't charge some sort of fee to mitigate its risks---but the remaining campaigns pass those ads tests and, as such, go on to turn their spare profit margins into additional backers (and sometimes even a LOT of additional backers). For a small percentage of campaigns, those additional backers may even make the difference between getting funded and not. Again, for some, it's worth the risk and, for others, it's not.

So, I think that it's only natural to expect Funded Today's reviews to be as varied as its past clientele, who now number close to 2,000 (or so I've seen). And this fact, at least in my opinion, explains why I've seen numerous negative reviews of Funded Today from some creators whose campaigns failed its ads tests and had little (or nothing) to show for it, but also numerous positive ones from others creators whose campaigns passed those same tests, raised far more money than they spent, and therefore believed that they made a great investment by working with Funded Today. You can peruse many of those positive reviews at www.fundedtodayreviews.com. Some of Funded Today's positive reviewers have apparently become serial clients, such as Steven Elliot Ng and the NOMATIC guys. So, in any case, let's please avoid being too one-sided by ignoring the positive reviews to dwell entirely upon the negative ones.

And let's also please not forget that the crowdfunding industry is dominated by startups, and that a majority of new businesses fail rather than succeed. For a series of challenging clients, in which their product and/or its presentation is fundamentally flawed, even the best marketing firm in the world can only do so much. It's like trying to successfully advertise new cars when every other new car produced is an Edsel. What can you do for an Edsel? You can go try to persuade its most likely buyers to come visit its showroom but, when none of those showroom visitors end up actually buying anything, are you 100% to blame for the lack of sales? Or is it the person who designed the showroom? Or is it ultimately the fault of the carmaker? Again, marketers aren't miracle-workers, and even the best marketing can only do so much for a bad product.

Just wanted to update this. I found a positive review online about funded today, but I suspect it may be one of their own employees, it even may be the guy they hired to post on these forums all day.

Yes http://fundedtodayreviews.com is controlled by funded today. Beware of that one.

Yeah, I don't think you can get that many ripoff reports and suddenly become legit.

Wow that's a lot of bad reports though... But then again, I've read good reports too.

Was thinking of then until I read all those bad reports. Yikes.

It's funny, I was listening to their podcast, and one of their founders, Zach, made a comment that Facebook has 4-5 BILLION customers. Wrong. Facebook has less than half of that. Perhaps the nature to inflate numbers starts at the top?
