Today I received an e-mail from someone at Indiegogo trying to make me switch to them and away from Kickstarter. Is this something they often do? He explained he thinks I have an awesome project, but I'm wondering if this is a regular practice from them and if he was just feeding me a line, or if there really is something about my project that stands out to them.
I would go for the platform you are most comfortable with. For most projects to be successfully, you have to create your own "buzz" so the platform (Kickstarter or Indiegogo) shouldn't make much different.
I had a look at your link. Looks like a fun project and good luck!
I'm probably going to stick with Kickstarter. I mean...all my stuff is set up there. It's a little late in the game for Indiegogo to approach me. But I'm going to hear what they say and then see what Kickstarter can do to up their ante for me.
This is the first time I've heard about them doing this if you are already planning to launch a Kickstarter. Interesting. They are really trying to ramp up and beat Kickstarter.
