How to get pre-pledges when you can't host a launch party

    by aninnina » Sat Mar 02, 2019 7:32 pm

Okay, i believe I posted this in the wrong section, I'm reposting it here for help:

I'm just starting my very first Kickstarter campaign and I'm learning it's harder than I thought. We I look through some of the campaigns already there, I feel a little intimidated and overwhelmed. They all look so put together and polished and professional. I feel like a baby sitting at the adult table for the very first time at that site.

How do I get past this feeling because I'm terrified of failing.

And one of the reasons why is because Prolific Works stresses throwing a launch party to hit 40% pledges BEFORE I launch. I am a 54 year old homeless woman who's trying to get her next zombie book funded... I have no way of throwing a launch party.

...the thing is, and I've told them this but they've offered me no advice as to how to overcome this obstacle. Can anyone offer me any advice on what to do, please?

    Nina

Instead of throwing a launch party, you could do a FB live. You could directly message friends, connections, etc and tell them about this upcoming campaign you're launching.
